Red Tent Events
Our Red Tent Events are back for 2023 and for the first time ever they are going to be held in person and also online! We are also delighted to be holding the monthly events with our new partners SHE Scotland.
Red Tent Events allow people to have honest and open discussions about menopause, menstrual wellbeing and mental health in a safe and supportive environment. You will hear about what support and products are available in Angus, and we will have a selection of disposable and reusable products for you to take away and try.
Our events are a safe space to talk or listen openly, respectfully and without judgement, conversations are confidential.
The next event will be on Monday 30th October 2023, online 19.30 where we will be discussing fertility.
Breast Buddies Angus
Breast Buddies Angus is aiming to improve breastfeeding rates in Angus by providing breastfeeding peer support to new parents. The project will train and develop the volunteers to run groups throughout the area and is managed by Volunteer Action Angus.
Breast Buddies have a number of ongoing, virtual events including breastfeeding classes for pregnant women and drop-ins for breastfeeding mums.

Our free period products are stocked in multiple locations throughout Angus including council buildings, schools and colleges, sports halls, health and medical centres and third sector organisations.

Angus Period Positive Campaign is about making products accessible to all while removing the stigma associated with periods and menstrual health. In Angus we believe that it's ok to talk about periods and the increased engagement around this has improved local people’s quality of life and created peer support networks.
